Section 5 Notices
Because of the changes in the law your lessees will need to be give the "right of first refusal" which means that they need to be served with section 5 notices once a sale has been agreed by private treaty. Your lessees have got 8 weeks from the date that they receive the notices to inform you if they want to go ahead and buy the freehold themselves. Property Company Sale
We are interested in lot sizes from £5,000 to £1.5 Million. Our Company does not require funding and can therefore complete any transaction without the need to rely on any financial institution. If you are a landlord and considering disposing of your ground rents and your ground rents are registered in your company you may want to consider the possibility of a company sale. This would negate the need to serve section 5 notices and also should speed up the transaction.
Many landlords take this route as your solicitor will not be required to serve section 5 notices on your lessees.
